An Experimental Study on the Influence of Estrogen upon Hyperlipemia

Abstract
|
|
|
50 healthy Sprgaue-Dawley rat weighing around 150gm were used for the experiment and divided into 3 groups:
1. control group fed basic diet
2. cholesterol administered group
3. chlesterol and estrogen administered group
And serum cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid in each rat were measured.
The result obtained from this experiment were as follows.
1. In cholesterol administered group, serum cholesterol and triglyceride levels were significantly elevated than those of control group.
2. In cholesterol and estrogen administered group, serum cholesterol, triglyceride and phospholipid levels were statistically elevated than those of cholesterol administered group.
